I am Amit K. Yadav, currently pursuing my Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree at Nano-Bio Laboratory, Special Centre for Nanoscience, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi under the supervision of Dr. Pratima Solanki (Assistant Professor, SCNS, JNU). I completed my Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biotechnology from the University Department of Biotechnology, Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh, Jharkhand 2016. I received my Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Hons.) degree in Biotechnology from the Department of Biotechnology, St. Columba’s College, Hazaribagh, Jharkhand in 2014.

As a Ph.D. Scholar, I am exploring nanotechnology, material science, (synthesis and characterization of metal oxides, MoS2, hydrogel, MIPs nanomaterials and their various nanocomposites with MWCNT, rGO, conducting polymers, etc), thin films, miniaturized sensors, electrochemistry, electrochemical biosensors, SELEX, Aptamer technology, and biomedical engineering for health wellness at Nano-Bio Laboratory, Special Centre for Nanoscience, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.

During my research, I focused on the design and application of cutting-edge nanotechnology and nanoscience-based biosensors with an interest in diagnostics. These nanobiosensors are based on the integration of biological molecules (DNA, antibodies, MIPs) and other (bio)receptors with micro- and nanostructures and are applied in diagnostics, environmental monitoring, or safety and security.

I have published more than 27 research articles, reviews, and book chapters in various peer-reviewed journals and am actively working on the design and development of a nano-engineered affordable biosensing platform for application in health care. I was the Science Academics (IISc-INSA-NASI) summer research fellow in 2015. I am also the recipient of the Indian Council of Medical Research-Senior Research Fellowship (ICMR-SRF) by ICMR, New Delhi. Recently I have been selected for the Prime Minister Research Fellowship (PMRF) by the Ministry of Education, Government of India in 2021.
